Regain Your Confidence with a Surgical or Non-Surgical Facelift

·      Lift Sagging Skin

Skin loses its elasitcity as we age. At some point, the extent of sagging may not be held off by anti-aging creams or non-invasive methods. As such, you may consider a facelift operation to tighten up the tissues in the face and neck, allowing the removal of excessive skin, and therefore, repairing the sagging. A properly performed facelift will result in a smooth, youthful, harmonious contour without a pulled or wind-swept appearance.

·      Remove Jowls

Another effect of facial aging that a facelift may ameliorate is loose jowls. The re-positioning of facial skin will result in removal of the jowls, a tighter jawline and a more contoured facial appearance.

·      Treat Deep Creases

The reduction of collagen and elasticity during aging tends to result in loss of tissue structure and volume, leaving your neck and face sagging and looking drawn.  A surgical facelift will restore the deep tissue structures and reposition the skin and deeper tissues to regain an improved and youthful facial contour.  For additional volume, augmenting any volume loss with fillers or fat may be performed at the time of operation.

Benefits of Facelift

·      Treat Various Signs of Aging

The skin changes that occur during aging may be attributed to a number of reasons, including the loss of facial fat and the weakening of dermal tissue. The causes of these changes are related to factors as age, genetics, current health, and lifestyle, to name a few.  Modern facelift techniques can restore some of these effects by tightening the underlying muscle and tissue, removing excess skin, and re-draping the overlying skin.

·      Are you a candidate for a facelift?

A facelift operation may be suitable in men and women as early as the 40’s.  This depends on your specific manner of aging and is also affected by your genetics and lifestyle.  Although many people  with signs of advanced wrinkles and sagging skin may benefit from a facelift operation, it is vitally important to discuss your options with your surgeon.

·      Well-hidden surgical scars

During a facelift operation, the incisions are designed to be unnoticeable, placed within currently existing natural folds or skin crease lines.  Typically, the incisions are often made along the hairlineand behind the ear for concealment.

The loss of contours in the face is usually attributed to factors like loss of facial fat, thinning of the skin, genetics, and lifestyle contributors as smoking, sun damage, stress, overall wellness. Limited incision: a shorter incision from your hairline above your ear that extends only to the earlobe.

Conventional facelift : the incision begins at the temple in the hairline, continues around the front of the ear, and continues behind the ear and into the lower scalp at the back of the neck.

Neck lift: To address the issue of sagging skin at the neck, an incision may be extended from the earlobe and around to the back of the neck for a variable degree, depending upon the extent of correction needed at the neck.
