It's all about Recovery Readiness and Implementation.
While the office remains closed at this time, in anticipation of the governor re-opening NYC, please be assured that we are ready.
As part of its efforts to reduce, if not eliminate, the spread of the coronavirus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued recommendations for medical practices, aimed at decreasing or eradicating the chance of patients spreading the disease when they come to a medical office. My office will incorporate these recommendations in addition to other effective antimicrobial strategies for keeping patients, staff, and the community at large safe, healthy, and well.
Infection control has always been a priority in my practice. I trust you have recognized this during your visits to the office. The infection control procedures are and have been in place so that when you receive care, it is both safe, reliable, and comfortable.
I anticipate that I will resume seeing patients on Monday, 15 June 2020. Please visit my website, ElementsandGraces.com, and sign up for the newsletter to receive updated information as it unfolds.
The Past and The Present
The office adheres to the infection control recommendations made by the American Medical Association (AMA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We will continue to follow the guidelines of these agencies. Moreover, we will extend beyond their recommendations in order to remain current on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued in the upcoming weeks and months.
Dr. Madhere's office has been and will continue to be equipped with air filters, anti-virus filters, and air detoxifying devices. Standard office operating procedure always involved strict and frequent hand-washing before and after patient contact and sanitizing surfaces, tables, beds, and counters after each use. These measures will be maintained and increased in frequency.
Notably, additional precautionary guidelines will be instituted, as generally described below.
It’s How We Roll
For those patients reluctant or apprehensive about visiting an office building even after restrictions are lifted, I will be resuming house calls via Jet Set Beauty Rx. These will be arranged on a case by case basis.
Make An Impact
Your preparedness is essential to self-healing and compassion for your fellow citizens of the world.
Don your mask, practice proper hand washing and hygiene, and contact the office early to reserve your appointment to get back on your beauty, wellness, and anti-aging game!
Come back stronger and more beautiful than ever!
The Future (is now)
When scheduling appointments. you will be asked screening questions, i.e., if you have any new symptoms of cough, fever, or sore throat. If you have any of these symptoms, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment, as per the CDC.
Any forms required for the office visit will be emailed to you in advance for you to complete and sign either physically or electronically. They may also be returned via email once completed.
Hand sanitizer dispensers will be available in each exam room and throughout the office. We will ask you to use the sanitizer when you enter the office.
Ultraviolet light has been shown to be effective against viruses. The office had already been equipped with anti-virus filters (in each room and in the reception area). In addition, the office will increase the frequency of cleaning and will be thoroughly disinfected before and after each patient with effective sanitizing agents as well as with UV light wands.
Facemarks will be required upon entry and during the office visit and will be worn by staff and patients. For procedures within the mid face and lower face, a mask will be worn by Dr. Madhere and not the patient.
Office calls will be converted to remote answering for the time being. There will be no receptionist present in the office.
Only scheduled patients are allowed into the office. If you are accompanied by another individual, kindly ask that (s)he wait outside the building. (S)He will not be permitted to wait in the office or in the lobby of the building.
In accordance with social distancing recommendations, appointments will be managed to allow for such between patients. This may result in fewer options for scheduling an appointment. Please schedule your anticipated appointments early and as soon as the office re-opens (anticipated Monday, 15 June 2020).
As consistent with Dr. Madhere's "high-touch" practice, patient flow will now be further restricted to one per scheduled appointment. This will eliminate a reception or waiting area with more than one person, and will help to ensure on-time, more efficient visits. As such, there will only be one patient (plus Dr. Madhere) in the office at any given time.
Patient visits will be also extended to reduce any possibility of cross-visit encounters. Nevertheless, as much as is is feasible, please arrive at your designated appointed time, and not much earlier as the waiting room may not be fully available. Although you will be escorted directly into a treatment room upon your arrival, it is best to be cautious.. When a direct entry into the exam room is not possible, kindly sit at least 6 feet away from any other patient that may be present.
Longer periods of time between patients will allow for more thorough deep cleaning after each patient as well as the avoidance of more than one patient waiting in the reception area.
Elective surgeries will remain postponed until further notice as directed by local NY government, The Mount Sinai healthcare system where Dr. Madhere is staffed, the NYS Department of Health, and the CDC.
And then some...
